I love learning. It has driven me my whole life from becoming an Occupational Therapist through continuing to pursue additional ways to help women and men with their health. I was a Candy Striper in middle school where I enjoyed making the patients smile. I discovered Occupational Therapy while in my early 20’s and was introduced first to the mental health side. I found a job as an OT aide in a hand therapy clinic and then got accepted to a program.

I attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where I met Matt who was a year ahead of me in the program. As soon as I finished school we married and took jobs in St. George Utah, at Dixie Regional Medical Center. I worked there (now called St. George Regional Hospital), for 27 years.

There I practiced all kinds of OT landing in the NICU in 2004. In 2015 I received my IBCLC certification.

In 2016, I took the next step in my love of yoga by getting certified as a yoga teacher.

Shortly thereafter I learned that Occupational Therapy can have immense benefits in pelvic floor wellness and rehabilitation for BOTH women AND men.

I continued to follow my passion for learning and trained in biofeedback and manual assessment as well as many other related practices.

Discovering and sharing the benefits of proper pelvic health and how we can integrate the Yoga Trapeze into overall health practices really excites and drives me every day.

On the weekends you will often find me in my permaculture food forest or on my paddle board at the lake.

My mom was a Special Education Teacher and I was introduced to kids with special needs early in my life. One of my childhood jobs was to dance with the girls at my mom’s school dances who did not get asked to dance. The school was where I was introduced to Occupational Therapists and was fascinated by their work.

In high school I began job coaching and enjoyed working with my students immensely. After high school, I went to college in Texas, where I earned my Bachelor’s of Science in Occupational Therapy.

I have practiced OT in a number of settings but gravitated towards home health over the years. Supporting the aging population is a passion for me. I am a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and also obtained a Certification in Aging in Place.

On the weekends I like to watch sports, golf, lift weights and hike & climb in the Southern Utah desert.

I am a St. George native who loves to travel and dreams of adventures in faraway lands. I deeply care about people and take time to listen to their needs to connect them with resources that they need.

I first met the Humphreys when I was working at a hospice company as a Healthcare Coordinator. I ended up leaving that position to better myself, my health and to discover new passions and even took that opportunity to start my own businesses and LEARN!

Thankfully the universe aligned and brought me back to sunny Southern Utah, and I was reconnected with the Humphreys. We got to chatting and realized that we had aligned visions and values for continuing to help people find their way to health and wellness.

When I’m not working, you can often find me volunteering, working on projects and passions or playing with my lizard Ponderosa. I love being outside, traveling and expressing my creativity in all ways.

Jennifer Hutson

Welcome to my world, I’m Jennifer Hutson LMT.,PMM. I want to invite you to experience the difference in your body with me! I am the owner and Massage Therapist and Equine Acupressure Therapist at Mountain West Advanced Medical Massage. I have practiced in Delta, Colorado for 9 years and grew up in Montrose Colorado, loving the outdoor recreation in the area! I enjoy hunting, hiking, ATV’s and many other outdoor activities. I was drawn to the Hurricane area recently by family who moved here, and I absolutely fell in love with the area! My goals here are to help people with their health and wellness by providing a safe and comfortable place for massage. Together with my clients, I want to be able to improve flexibility, range of motion, minimize migraines, improve recovery time post-surgery, such as knee, hip, shoulder and spinal procedures, and help rid your body of sciatic pain and many other aches and pains! My passion is also working with horses. I love seeing the improvement in an animal after an Acupressure session! They too benefit from these sessions for the same reasons we do! Neck pain & flexion issues, back pain, temperament issues, hip and leg pain. I can also help your equine friend post-surgery with red light therapy.
In 2014 I received my human massage therapy certification and license in Colorado. In 2017 I received my Equine and Canine certification in Acupressure. I am licensed in both Colorado and Utah. By the end of 2023 I will solely dedicate my time to helping the people in the Hurricane, Utah area with their massage needs!
In addition to massage, I also make equine keepsake items and jewelry for those who have lost the life of a beloved pet.
I look forward to growing my practice in the Hurricane area and meeting new people!
